Job Description

A Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available to support students in a K-12 school setting. This role involves collaborating with the schools multidisciplinary team to deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing students functional abilities and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Assist students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities necessary for school participation.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address students individual needs.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Participate in meetings, evaluations, and planning sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• Experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques relevant to the educational setting.
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs.
