Global freight forwarding leader is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for their branch in Monterey Park, CA! Licensing is not required for this opportunity; however, we would like someone with about 2 years of experience with customs entries.

This is a full time opportunity with benefits and room for continued growth.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments
• Classification of shipments and preparation of entry
• Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA’s and familiar with CBP regulations
• Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage/ Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department
• Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary
• Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage only files
• Respond to internal and external (customer) requests
• Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems
• Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed
• Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities
• Prepare and post PSC

Desired Qualifications:

• 2-4 years Customs Brokerage import experience with an extensive and broad range of commodities
• Familiarity with ADD/ CVD, FDA, EPA, F & W, CBMA, FAA, TTB
• Intermediate MS Office Skills
