Job Description

The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for the successful management of digital strategy for client brands. The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business and drive growth opportunities.

The Digital Marketing Director answers key questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and how digital interactions fit into broader customer experiences.

This individual combines an in-depth knowledge of client business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver effective digital marketing recommendations. This person also handles the day-to-day operations of agency projects, including research, scope development, creative briefing and job execution.

He or she is responsible for client contact, organizing information shared by and with the client, and ensuring that agency procedures are followed. Digital Marketing Directors are responsible for achieving the client’s strategic brand and business objectives by working with clients to provide them with guidance and working with the internal team to achieve execution of strategies.

They serve a vital role in promoting the integration of cross-functional teams and ensuring seamless delivery of all work to the client. This candidate must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions.

Job Responsibilities including, but not limited to:



  • Manage and grow a portfolio of 50+ digital clients
  • Execute digital marketing strategy and optimization for clients - paid search, paid social, display, SEO among others
  • Execution and implementation of SEO tactics to increase visibility, drive earned visits and direct bookings- keyword research and strategy, on-page copy optimization, competitive backlink analysis and outreach, local citation audits, tech audits and listing optimization
  • Develop templates, resources, training and team processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Work with the leadership team to identify relevant KPIs, track, optimize, and report on them.
  • Oversee and manage existing direct response channels, develop and test new channels, and scale the ones that deliver significant ROI.
  • Work with marketing and product team to design, build and maintain our clients social media presence
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.

Requirements:

  • Strong professional background as part of a successful marketing team, including direct experience developing and executing marketing strategy with 3-5 years experience
  • Experience with standard marketing tools, funnels, analytic systems, and KPI's
  • Experience with performance and channel marketing including managing Google Ads, Facebook.
  • Experience across multiple channels, including Facebook, SEM, and content development.
  • Effective communicator of marketing strategy and outcomes.
  • You’re comfortable reporting and presenting marketing results to various company stakeholders.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
