Location: Columbus, OH (or surrounding areas)
Salary: $100K-$130K (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and execution of mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring they meet all standards of safety and efficiency. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, especially in construction and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for various construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments on existing systems for improvement and compliance purposes.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site to ensure adherence to design specifications and local codes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and contractors during all phases of construction.
• Ensure that all designs comply with NFPA standards and local regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with their professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the relevant state or other states is preferred 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing design, and piping systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
