Overview Program Director, Dementia Care at Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Epidemiology Center (GLITEC) in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This is a salaried full-time position based at our office; this is not a remote role. The starting wage is $70,000 - $75,000 per year, with benefits including annual/personal leave, holidays, health, dental, life & AD&D, STD and LTD insurance, FSA and 401(k). Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week with possible variation for special projects and deadlines. A background check is required before employment. Responsibilities Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the assigned Dementia Program workplan, including project management and staff management. Coordinate leadership activities and work as part of the program team using advanced analytical, research, project management and relationship management skills to deliver priority work plan activities (e.g., program assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Assist with on-site oversight of project activities, internal and external coordination, materials development, meetings, technical assistance, evaluation, and staff training. Coordinate budget management for memory care activities, programming supplies, and departmental resources. Lead initiatives to improve health outcomes and quality of life for Elders, with emphasis on dementia awareness, prevention and caregiver support within Tribal communities. Foster partnerships with Tribal Elder programs, health departments, and community-based organizations to enhance culturally grounded dementia education and services. Oversee data collection and analysis related to elder health, cognitive decline, and social determinants of health to inform program planning and evaluation. Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting and program support to ensure successful development and implementation of projects and programs. Prepare and analyze clinical and public health policy, systems and environmental change recommendations. Develop and implement reporting mechanisms that measure program efficacy and inform ongoing improvements. Support communications through conference calls, meetings, briefs, publications, events, newsletters, and website features. Plan program events, meetings, trainings, conferences, calls and webinars with program staff. Assist participating tribes with strategic planning, assessment implementation and evaluation of dementia activities and strategies. Engage Tribal leaders in promoting culturally adapted evidence-based practices to address chronic and acute conditions and promote health and wellness. Participate in task teams, work groups, and other joint policy and program initiatives. Additional Duties And Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of all grants and programs of the department; engage in networking to stay current with epidemiological and health data resources. Ensure all services are delivered in a culturally sensitive manner. Participate in committees inside and outside the organization. Attend training sessions and meetings as scheduled; stay current on advances in the field. Participate in research projects as designated and perform other duties as necessary to fulfill responsibilities. Qualifications Required: Master of Public Health, Master of Science, or master’s in healthcare administration, with two to five years of project management experience and/or training. Clinical experience in patient care or demonstrated commitment to the medical field. Experience with elder care, Alzheimer’s Disease, or dementia-related public health programs preferred. Understanding of cultural, social, and systemic factors affecting elders in Tribal communities; experience working with Native American Tribal Governments, Tribal organizations and/or not-for-profit agencies in epidemiology. Ability to work independently and as a team member; excellent verbal and written communication skills; problem solving, time management, self-motivation; ability to interact professionally with a wide range of people; ability to address a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and to compose complex reports. Requires a high level of confidentiality. Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation with adequate insurance and ability to travel.
