Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Stamford, CT (On site position)  

Overview

Building and Land Technology (BLT) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Construction team. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving overall project success through detailed planning, scheduling, procurement, cost control, and strong leadership. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

Pre-Construction

  • Lead pre-construction planning, coordination, and logistics.

  • Chair regular project development meetings.

  • Oversee design/build processes and Architect/Engineer deliverables.

  • Partner with Estimating on bid packages, budgeting, and subcontract awards.

  • Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering to optimize quality, cost, and schedule.

  • Prepare project manuals, Division One documents, and mobilization plans.

  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to establish construction schedules and field logistics.

  • Work with Safety and field leadership to implement site-specific safety plans.

Change Orders & Cost Control

  • Accurately estimate and negotiate change orders.

  • Submit revised budgets to Accounting for job cost system updates.

  • Communicate approvals to subcontractors and authorize work to proceed.

Project Close-Out

  • Drive projects toward substantial completion and final close-out.

  • Ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and certificate of occupancy requirements.

  • Lead final punch list development with the design team.

  • Deliver as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and subcontractor guarantees.

  • Reconcile all change orders prior to project close.

Qualifications of the Project Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and construction management.

  • Strong field experience highly desirable.

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in construction management software and related technology.
