The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work at our Levy Big River location in Osceola, Arkansas. The Safety Coordinator performs clerical and administrative responsibilities supporting the division's safety programs.

Responsibilities
The Safety Coordinator will:


  • Assist with the implementation of safety and environmental policies, regulations and programs
  • Assist with the development of safety and environmental training
  • Provide and/or facilitates required safety and environmental training
  • Conduct site inspections with manager
  • Develop worksite safety topics for safety meetings
  • Conduct regulatory compliance audits including monitoring and testing
  • Track and monitors risk assessments, observations and emergency drills
  • Maintain and monitors compliance and training records
  • Assist with incident investigation and remediation of environmental incidents including spills
  • Order and maintains PPE
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:


  • Safety related experience or internship
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA standards
  • Knowledge of any local or state required safety standards
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
  • Ability to travel
  • High School diploma required Degree preferred
