Position Overview:

Sales Manager / Business Development Manager (SM/BDM)

As the SM/BDM, you will have a hybrid role with both sales management and individual contributor responsibilities. You will lead our sales team to new heights while actively engaging in business development activities. This role is perfect for a true hunter who loves making connections, participating in industry events, and using innovative methods to build a book of business. 

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management:
- Lead and inspire the growth team to win new clients.
- Develop and manage processes for lead identification and qualification.
- Coach and guide team members towards individual and team success.
- Set goals, monitor performance, and report to the executive team.
- Hire and onboard new team members.

Business Development:
- Manage sales opportunities from initial contact to contract.
- Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, and inbound leads.
- Present proposals, address questions, and guide prospects to decision-making.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospects through continuous engagement.

Lead Generation:
- Attend industry events and networking meetings.
- Identify presentation and sponsorship opportunities for Uprite.
- Utilize LinkedIn and other platforms for outreach and content sharing.

CRM Management:
- Maintain all sales activities in real-time using HubSpot CRM.

Professional Development:
- Master Uprite’s offerings and sales playbook.
- Attend training to become an expert in the platforms we use.

Meetings:
- Lead weekly sales meetings and 1:1 meetings with staff.
- Participate in executive meetings to align with company goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Technology, or Operations.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience and 2+ years of sales management experience with IT services, required.
- Experience selling IT services, technology, and/or hardware.
- Strong communication, presentation, and closing skills.
- Ability to manage SDRs and BDMs in a holistic lead generation and sales process.
- Proficiency in using a Sales CRM, preferably HubSpot.
