Job Title: Switchboard Operator

Pay: $18-$21/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a Switchboard Operator where you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication within our company. You will be responsible for answering and directing calls, assisting callers with inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct high-volume calls with multiple lines and extensions.
• Take messages accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to caller inquiries with helpful and accurate information.
• Provide company information to callers.
• Perform light data entry tasks.
• Undertake administrative tasks and small projects as assigned.
• Distribute mail efficiently.
• Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in handling high-volume calls and data entry.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Experience with order entry and Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
• 3+ years’ experience in administrative support.

Work Environment

This position is onsite in Glendale, CA, with working hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The office is located on a large campus with nice buildings and spacious desk areas. Employees have access to a break room and outside areas to take breaks. The environment is professional, providing room for growth and longevity after being brought on permanently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
