Position Overview: Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a skilled Travel Echocardiographer to join the diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience performing echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound procedures in a hospital or clinical setting. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiographic examinations including transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal studies as ordered by physicians
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure high-quality imaging results
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns
• Analyze and document findings, providing accurate preliminary reports to cardiologists
• Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines
• Collaborate with cardiology and other medical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Echocardiographer or Cardiac Sonographer
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a concentration in cardiac sonography
• ARDMS or CCI certification in echocardiography required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Proficiency with echocardiography equipment and related technology
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
