Stokes & Dennis Hauling LLC is seeking a reliable and highly organized Trucking Dispatcher to coordinate freight shipments, communicate with drivers, and ensure timely delivery of loads. The ideal candidate will have strong logistical skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule loads from pickup to delivery using dispatch software and load boards

• Assign loads to drivers and ensure they have the proper instructions, documents, and equipment

• Monitor driver routes and track load progress using GPS and ELD systems

• Maintain constant communication with drivers, brokers, shippers, and receivers

• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during transit (e.g., delays, breakdowns, route changes)

• Negotiate rates with brokers and shippers when necessary to ensure profitability

• Maintain detailed records of loads, mileage, fuel, hours of service, and other DOT requirements

• Ensure compliance with all FMCSA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies

• Collaborate with the operations and accounting teams for load billing, settlements, and payroll

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is a plus

• 1+ years of dispatching experience in the trucking or transportation industry (preferred)

• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and GPS tracking

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and think critically to solve problems quickly

• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations

  Work Schedule & Compensation:

• Full-Time | Monday–Friday (occasional weekends or after-hours support as needed)

• Pay: Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience, plus potential performance bonuses. ( Open to discussion ).

• Benefits: TBD (can include PTO, paid holidays, remote options, etc.)
