Job Title: Landscape Designer/Sales (Residential)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio  (Northwest Side)

Compensation:
Base salary ranging from $80-85k plus Commissions on a sliding scale, Mileage or Vehicle, PTO to include Vacation and Holidays, 401k Match, Laptop, Cell and Health Insurance.

  • As a Design/Sales professional, you will meet with new and existing residential customers to define design/build projects on their properties in an effort to provide high quality projects while reaching company revenue goals.
  • You will define the scope and budgets based upon client input and evaluate and produce accurate estimates of jobs within the established company profit margins.
  • You will guide the customer through the sales and design process, and drive timelines.
  • You will also work with all other managers and team members to assure the company reaches or exceeds its strategic objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, lead development process, and sell design/build services
  • Manage your own pipelines, backlog, in progress and completed work
  • Estimating of Design/Build outdoor living projects
  • Define project scope, acquire bids and approve all invoices from subcontractors
  • Write contracts and proposals to present and present to clients 
  • Responsible for being the customer liaison throughout the design build process and ability to tactfully communicate the construction process to clientele
  • Collaborate through the internal design review process and provide outside designers with feedback on their plans to create revisions to the plans as necessary with the ability to dissect a set of plans and offer feedback of their own.
  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of projects to ensure timeliness, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Schedule and perform 30-day, 6-month and one-year follow ups with Design/Build customers
  • Conduct weekly site visits on projects, monitoring subs, quality and schedule
  • Interact with customers to create a positive experience

Desired Qualities:

Skills in planning, organizing, and negotiating, business knowledge, communication skills, personal accountability, performance management and employee development, and the ability to foster a respectful workplace.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; three - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Landscape Architecture Degree is a plus or green industry background, a degree in horticulture, architecture or urban planning.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Lumion, proficient in all programs of Microsoft Office 365, Familiarity with CRM and estimating platforms,

The company uses 3D rendering regularly to sell concepts.

Knowledge of Aspire ERP program is a plus, Kits are created for estimating.

Registered Landscape Architect is a plus but not required

The minimal sales goal for this position is $1.5mm per year and the average project is $50k with some exceeding $350k.

We are looking for an experienced designer who understands how to manage a sales cycle, create value and develop solutions for clients.

Leads are provided by the company and the company is implementing a new marketing program along with a new website and is using HubSpot to keep track of customer and sales/lead interactions.
