About Us: At Therapy Source, our mission is to pave the way for children's success worldwide. We are currently seeking a full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide in-person services to elementary and middle school students. Traveling between the elementary and middle school campuses in Woodstock will be required.

Position Details:

• Position: Full-Time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) is highly preferred but not required.
• Term: Position is available for the 2024/2025 school year
• Schedule: First day will be Monday, August 12th.
• Elementary School hours : 7:05am-2:05pm. Middle School hours : 8:30am-3:50pm

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $78-$84 per hour 1099 contract

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• State Licensure: Hold licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the state of Illinois.
• School Certification: Possess School Certification in the state of Illinois.
• Clearances: Have up-to-date clearances, or express a willingness to obtain them.
• Insurance: Provide proof of individual professional liability insurance or express a willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities: As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Therapy Source, your pivotal role may include:

• Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
• Conducting assessments to determine the developmental status and academic status
• Managing classroom resources
• Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
• Participating in training and meetings as needed
